((So I was really tired this morning, in a sort of semi-trance-like state, and random sentences kept going through my mind. I decided to write em down, and here's what came out. Read it, digest it, and say what you will. Mind you, this isn't a story, more like the rant of an antagonist at the end of a story.))
You fear me! You do! You fear the unknown, the great abyss, the final sleep, the silence that comes when naught else is to be heard. You fear death. Yet, look around you. How are you not afraid of THIS then, how are you not afraid of yourself? You, who have brought death upon hundreds of thousands? You did this, you know, none of it could have, would have happened without you. You are a catalyst, a being around whom events occur, a being who inspires others to light or darkness, to whatever it is you may believe at the moment. You did this, you, oh my dear friend, you have doomed us all. Not to terror though! No! Not to some horrible monstrous end, filled with blood and tears and death. No! You, my dear friend, have doomed us to another cycle. Not death, no, but something even worse; you have doomed us to life! By your… reckless actions, for the “good of humanity”, you have doomed us all to live. “Doomed?” you ask, and I shall answer you just as swiftly. Yes. Doomed. Doomed to live life, to spawn generation after generation, of horrible, measly little beings, worrying about their puny problems, their loved ones, Pfaw! Loved ones? If they knew HALF of what went on behind their backs…. But my mind wanders. You fear me. With right you do, I suppose, and so have banished me from this land. You, the neverdying, have cursed yourself and your offspring. You shall populate this land, yea, and you shall reproduce, and you shall live forever, watching as the world around you crumbles to ashes, as your friends and loved ones die off like flies. As your children’s children will curse your name, will break down in tears of anger and helplessness. You shall understand why this happened, too, how it could be prevented. You will know… it was all your choice. For in banishing me, you have doomed yourself.
