I tried writing in the bus today. I got about fifteen words down, then my wife sent me a needlessly ominous text and then that was all could think about the rest of the way home. Hope ominous wasn't something bad! Changing POV did me a world of good. May make doing certain things difficult later but will be a bridge I can cross.

The needlessly omnious text. The worst part is, she never clarified it. All of her clarifications just made it more ominous... And it ended up being nothing.

The needlessly omnious text and the 'guess what without any clues' text.
The latter always earning an absurdist reply, so at least it gives me some joy coming up with the reply. The needlessly omnious text doesn't even have that silver lining.

The needlessly omnious text doesn't even have that silver lining. call me asapIf I'm at work or something where I can step away I usually just call her. When I'm stuck on the bus, last thing I want to do is have a difficult phone call. Like when my Dad texted me, "Call me when you have a few minutes." I didn't call until I was well equipped and prepared for bad news.

This is the most first draft-y thing I've written. I'm kind of doing what Pete was thinking about: just setting down the foundations to build on later.

8374. Still on track. At the moment I'm alternating between days of 1800 and 1400 words.
I'm feeling a little better about the project as a whole. I'm sure that will change by tomorrow.
