Honestly, I'm so rusty I feel like I'm the worst writer of the 8 here. That's not false humility or anything, I just really, really, really, haven't done much lately. That's the cool thing about this challenge, we still get to write a ton even if we come out in 8th place! I'm just interested by the fact that they are going to be nit-picking our styles, weaknesses and strengths. It's going to really help me understand where I stand with my writing other than just "you need to work on such and such grammar". I'm really curious what topics they think are best for me, or worst. Shouldn't say it here (as the judges will totally see it - sssssh!) but I hope for something fantastic, and amazing! Maybe fantasy with dragons and knights! Or a mini horror like CreepyPasta-wise. You were really good with the creepy stuff last time. |

I've got my topics ready and they'll be posted at midnight (3.5 hours from now). Can't speak to James. Sorry about that. ALSO! Judging is only a single day in the schedule so that the tournament won't drag on to two months long. This means that sometimes the next round will start before judging is entirely finished -- but that shouldn't be a problem, since nobody is eliminated between rounds! So judging may be a day late sometimes, since we've only got that single day to do it. But no worries. |

Yeah...
I've been at a conference and have been awake for the last nineteen hours after my first week of full-time work. My fault, I should have mentioned I was going to be away to Pete until this evening, but I thought we'd just end up picking a genre or something as the first round.
I will try and write something before I fall asleep. But I apologise now if they're the worse Arena beginnings so far... or the strangest since I'm a little sleep deprived.
