Well, we know who's going to play Snowden in the film now.
Morgan Freeman.

The trick, of course, is that half of the writers are out. And so anyone who talks much about writing a story is risking giving away the show. Doesn't mean we can't or should't discuss the topics at least. But it usually results in total silence. I just hope everyone who's writing does write. No drop-outs. Because the people who went out in the first round will be pissed.

If you were eliminated in the first round and the person who advanced in your place drops; the Organizer can extend the deadline and allow you to write for round two in their place.

I'm always concerned about drawing a competition out for an extended period of time. The very first AWR competition (and the MegaCup last year reaffirmed) that once you go over three-four weeks, you're entering trouble.

Still, the only round after this one is the final and anyone who's in the final, I should hope, will be submitting -something-. So extending it two days to let someone compensate for a drop-out in this round, honestly, would be fine by me.

Though of course only if the original writer himself or herself couldn't make use of the extra two days. But we may be getting ahead of ourselves, all six remaining writers may be confident of meeting the deadline.

When do the next lot of stories get posted up? Tomorrow, right? Looking forward to reading what our awesome authors have dreamt up!

Just to remind those folks who are writing:
As of this post, you have 29 hours and 10 minutes to submit.

2AM Central in a day from now (or I guess technically two days?) is the official deadline, though as mentioned before I'm probably not going to notice if you submit it in the wee hours of the morning before I wake up. Limey time and other time zone conversions are on the schedule.

So we're looking at about 12 hours from this post then, depending on when Kwan wakes up/gets online.
