And we'll now have 6 winners.
Problem solved.

Dragon. How do you want the reviews sent to you? Would you prefer one PM from each person with all their reviews, clearly labelled? Or a new PM for each individual round? And, to everyone else, Pete has covered all the important things. Although, I would add quickly, don't guess people in your reviews. Save that for the end. Otherwise you'll end up looking like Pete who in Allya's review called her Taed. If for some reason the idea of points may confuse you, though, there's this: awritersrecluse.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=fr&action=display&thread=4104Spelling & Grammar Were there many mistakes in the story? Or was it perfect? Don't get too stuck up on this. You don't want 75% of your review being a list of mistakes that you've found. That's not reviewing, that's editing (which is fine if that is what the writing is asking for). However if you're noticing a reoccurring mistake, then mention it. Maybe the writer doesn't even know he's doing something wrong.
Ease of Read Did you find it particularly easy to read? Did the narrative flow? Or did it feel clunky? Did the writer use too many metaphors to the point that you were drowning in them and lost. Or did he balance it just right?
Characters What did you feel about the characters? Did they seem real? Did they have unique personalities or did they all feel the same? How did they interact with each other?
Story What about the story itself? Did it make sense? Did it build up nicely with tension at a steady speed? Or was the beginning too short, the middle too stretched and the ending too rushed? Feel free to talk about pacing, inconsistency and other such things.
Entertaining Simple. Did you enjoy yourself reading it? If you loved it and think that it could quite easily be published then say so! And if you think it has a lot of work to go, say that too! They're not going to begrudge you for negative but constructive comments because you're helping them. And they really appreciate it that you read the piece at all. But, I'm sure that most of you already know how to review. ALSO, it is worth noting that while you cannot vote in your own match, you can review your competitor. I'd suggest saving that review for last, though, just in case you run out of time (it's better for a match to get reviews -and- votes).

I do wonder if we are seeing an impact of the Monthly Challenge here. There are some short, short stories here.

Reviews submitted! Wooooop.
Some were really good. Some weren't really good. Overall, enjoyed spending an afternoon reading them.

We can talk about those because you can include yourself in both and no one would know. I always wish we get more discussions going on the entries than who was who. EDIT: ON SECOND THOUGHTS. DON'T DO THIS, PEOPLE.

Aren't you guys worried that talking about the matches in here will sway the opinion of people who haven't voted yet?

I'm glad the internet is so good at distracting me. I stopped a big reply to James' post half-way through before I wandered back to AWR in another tab and saw that two posts were deleted and the whole mission was aborted.
Hrmph!
Fair enough, though. Probably best not to sway.

The posts weren't deleted, Pete. Just moved.
Moved to a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind.

I wonder if it's obvious which one's mine. People had trouble figuring out which ones I did the last time I was in the Arena.

It's such a shame people can't see the anarchy that the Forbidden Zone has broken out into.
Pete just shot Taed. Who is actually me.

I thought that Agro didn't know which entry I wrote, but then I went home and discovered that he'd tattooed it on my back. Joke's on him, though, because he actually tattooed his own entry on my back!
Joke's on him indeed.
