Pretty sure I've spotted my fellow Admins already. I won't say anything about mine. I haven't yet and won't. But yeah, I feel confident that I've spotted the both of you. I think tomorrow morning (it's 4am, here), I'll read and review all of the entries. NOTE ON REVIEWING:For those of you who are uncertain how to review/struggle reviewing, a good template is the following:
Spelling & Grammar - 0/5 (are there mistakes?)
Ease of Read - 0/5 (does it flow?)
Use of Topic - 0/10 (is it creative?)
Entertainment - 0/15 (is it enjoyable?)
Quality - 0/15 (is it eloquent?)
Total - 0/50
Of course, you don't have to actually calculate it into scores, but simply keeping those five things in mind will help in deciding how to go about judging a match. Try to make feedback as -constructive- as possible (e.g. if you like something, say what specifically you like; if you dislike something, try to pinpoint the issue and explain your reasoning for disliking it). Remember, you've got to actually conclude (as clearly as possible for the sake of Dragon) that one story 'wins' and the other 'loses'. That's how it's decided which writer moves on.
Reviewing is what makes the Arena work. Doesn't matter how many people write if nobody reviews them! It's about self-improvement, and there can't be any without critique. You've got until January 15th at 3am EST to review! |

If neither writer in that match ends up submitting, we'll work something out to make things move forward. Also: do you have enough beginnings for the whole rest of the tournament? Or did you still need more? I had an idea or two. |

I'm leaving the submission time open for another hour since we are a match short. Seems for the best. If neither writer in that match ends up submitting, we'll work something out to make things move forward. We'd have 5 so we could have one 1 v 1 and 1 v 1 v 1. Or we could vote on the 'Best Loser' which is what we did in the AWR Cup where we had a defaulted match. Which would give us three round two matches and a proper 1 v 1 v 1 final. We would just need to think of a way to vote for the best loser. |
