Ah well, I can at least say I finished this one fully this time, and I was more busy than any other time I had to leave. I think I put off...two essays and a presentation...better get to work on that. Good fun though, and good luck to you all!

Oh! Come on, Agro! >.< You know I wanted to face Zovo or you! Not Manny >.< (No offence babes ... just they are personal challenges for me) Feel a little let down by my story. Alright, so the inspiration did come from Metallica's "One" but no other ideas were cropping up. I hoped my version wouldn't be too close to the other two versions and still interesting enough. Sorry it wasn't very original >.<  I did debate about continuing the story so you can see him get killed but that wasn't the impact I was aiming for. The impact was the slab of meat bit and going against human nature. If I carried on to the actual killing I feel it would have lagged a little and gotten boring what with euthanasia bullcrap and legalities. Just throwing this out there, as I haven't even read your story to know exactly what you did: Metallica's 'One' is actually based on a novel called Johnny Got His Gun. So if there's anything you're taking inspiration from, it's said novel. . . . and the video is based on a Twilight Zone episode, IIRC. |

Manny thus far, has already outscored Drall, Kaez and Agro. Though I think it's worth pointing out that I stressed my piece was -not- to my own approval and posted to ensure there was competition for the other two. And also that I've disagreed drastically with the vast majority of judging so far. In fact, I suppose I'm just bitter and disgruntled and should find a rocking chair on a porch somewhere to sit on and grumble. OH GOODNESS. |

Whilst, yes, I'm sure we're all in a deep state of shock by the fact that you and I might find each other disagreeable (I, for one, gasped involuntarily and had a cold shower), it's really not personal at all -- James and I judge as often as we do less because we -enjoy- judging and more because we find anyone else who does it rather disagreeable. |

This kind of attitude will make me think long and hard next time before I decide to judge. |

James and I judge as often as we do less because we -enjoy- judging and more because we find anyone else who does it rather disagreeable. Generally we have left the criteria up to the judge's discretion... and other people never seem to go the route with how we always imagined it. |

If it matters, I haven't disagreed with your judgements at all; actually I did a little on my first piece, but not in any way I'd argue. All three judges noted few if any spelling/grammar problems, but I personally saw a bunch. /silence Other than that, you've called me on the right stuff and been quite thorough between the three of you. So I say well done. |
