Which is kinda surprising, I thought Taed would definitely be on time.
Something must have happened.

I think it's midnight. And you're welcome While I'm ashamed to admit it was kinda tempting to just say "Screw it, I'm advancing!", I worked really hard on that story and it would suck ass if I didn't use it. I tried to make it one of the best I've written to combat both you and Taed, and so hopefully it'll work. No worries, I totally understand. I'd want a piece that I worked hard for recognized as well. And it shows the effort you put into. That was part of the reason that I sacked my second piece on purpose at 5am this morning. I gave it a read over and thought, "This is not nearly as good as Drall's and I cannot be proud of it." This subject is out of my element and I couldn't think of anything good. Seriously good work there though Drall. I enjoyed it immensely. But after enjoying it, I was like, "Fffffffffuck."

I just skimmed over yours, but I actually liked it a lot, and considering the time at which it was written, it was practically flawless. I had difficulty with Desiree's name, though. Is it like Desire, or do we pronounce the extra e?
Now it's gonna bug me.

Ugh, I don't like mine. It took me forever to get the idea and it was supposed to be a rather pithy commentary on how, even though primitive man was nowhere near as advanced as us in any way, they're still covetous and ambitious and cutthroat in the same way that politicians are ... but I don't think it really worked. Maybe if I'd gotten the idea on Wednesday or Thursday I could have made it work but, as it is, I wouldn't have done anything at all without the extension so that's nice. Thank you for that.

Taed, that was actually quite interesting. It all seemed fluent, everything contributed to the story, and there's little to complain about. At the very least, it ought to give you some points in creativity.

Thanks Walder. I really didn't like my piece that much but it's nice to hear that you did. Oh, and I just want to say to the judges: I think I speak for everyone (well ..... maybe not Reffy ) when I say that we won't begrudge you taking an extra day or two to do the scores if you need it. You did us a favour and, in return, you got all your marking dumped onto a Monday. That's not really fair to any of you.

I'm going to get judging tomorrow.
Also while I haven't thought of the topics themselves, I fear you guys will stone me once you see the format of the topics for the semi-finals.

Wouldn't blame any of the judges for taking extra time to get them pieces marked. Tis an awful lot to do on one day, let alone a week day. I'm not -that- impatient. Besides, it looks like I'm "defaulting" again. Prologue hasn't replied to anything since the last round finished. (Although I would still appreciate any comments from judges, when you've done those that are actually matches.) Congrats to those that managed to get your entries in! Glad the extra 24 hours helped.

Is it like Desire, or do we pronounce the extra e? Now it's gonna bug me. Thanks Drall! I started writing it when I finally got inspired after writing so much that I didn't like. This subject was so hard for me, I just couldn't get into it! I can find plenty wrong with my piece but I'm not going to say, not yet. Don't wan to give the judges any big ideas. My friend's sister is named Desiree. Pronounced "dez-er-E". This is the way I was pronouncing her name while writing. Still, I've heard it pronounced the way the Sensar did. You know, I was afraid of your entry and even more so because I knew how you were going to take the subject and give it a unique spin. Once again you've proven that my fears were certainly founded and I liked your story. I think you got you point across and I can find little wrong there. Well done 'ol sport. ;D Don't discount yourself just yet. I feel like it's anyone's game here still. Both you and Taed have fantastic pieces and it was a pleasure to square off with both of you. A fun little ménage à trois this has been. ;D Oh, and I just want to say to the judges: I think I speak for everyone (well ..... maybe not Reffy ) when I say that we won't begrudge you taking an extra day or two to do the scores if you need it. You did us a favour and, in return, you got all your marking dumped onto a Monday. That's not really fair to any of you. Yes, this. Take all the time you need judges.

I didn't realize we were still stoning people! *readies incredibly large boulder* But I do welcome your challenge Agro. Even though I found it incredibly hard to write a legal thriller, it was something new and I like new things.
