I'm getting worried again. Pushing the boundaries on the topic (not sexy this time - just not what people are expecting.) It is also proving a bitch to write because I don't want to keep repeating "you think / you do / you this / you that." Let me just say that I hate second person perspective! It feels like I'm shoving feelings/thoughts on the reader rather than letting them explore the feelings/thoughts themselves. Bleh! Is it me or did we get the worse perspective?

A)) I know it -seems- that way, but believe me, you use it just as much as you use "I" in first person. It's just a little less familiar to you this way. There are ways to change the sentence structure to make it feel less repetitive. B)) Second person is definitely the least common, I sympathize.

I've got the main story/plot hashed out. Now it's mostly editing left - although there is a lot of editing to be done. Think I broke second person AND tense in only 1,800 words! Going to need another writer to check it over this time, not just friends since they won't spot the tense-breaks.
When the idea came to me last night it truly did sound genius. Hubby said I should make it a novel! I probably won't. Not my cuppa tea.
Let me just ask this ... disaster doesn't have to be natural? It can be man-made? Wiki said yes, just wondering how others feel on this ...

Disaster is in the eye of the beholder.

Ew! There is a substitute for sour cream? Oh that is gross! Is it really so much worse than thick, fatty cow excretions, swimming in bacteria after being left out in the sun too long?

Ew! There is a substitute for sour cream? Oh that is gross! Is it really so much worse than thick, fatty cow excretions, swimming in bacteria after being left out in the sun too long? ... Let's rephrase that as "Delicious, sun-baked, cream product made from an age-old culturing process."

How about, the milk in the bottom of the cereal bowl that nobody bothered to empty since it was put on the counter .... a week ago?

So, my original plan is now all twisted around...
But I like it a lot more. So, I need to get at least a 45 to have even a slight chance...
Let's get to work.
